The Vision: Faces Behind the Global Coffee Industry
Kenyas most exported products are tea and coffee, two goods that are an essential part of daily life for people all over the world. However, very few are aware of the faces or the working conditions of those who harvest these caffeine plants in the fields. Grounded Heroes is an ongoing editorial project dedicated to making these individuals and their personal stories visible to a global audience.

The Narrative: Beyond the Commodity
This documentary series goes beyond the product to focus on the human element of agriculture. By capturing intimate portraits and authentic moments on the plantations, we aim to bridge the gap between the consumer and the producer. Each image serves as a tribute to the hard work and resilience of the people who form the backbone of one of the most important industries in Kenya.
Editorial Storytelling: Documentation of Culture and Labor
Grounded Heroes is more than just a photography series. It is a visual record of contemporary labor and tradition. Through a sensitive and respectful lens, we document the daily lives of these workers, highlighting their dignity and the vital role they play in the global economy. This project reflects our commitment to social impact photography and deep narrative storytelling through powerful imagery.
