The Narrative: A Journey Through Highs and Lows
After being reassigned to a rural high school, Tabu, a high achieving English teacher, struggles to maintain a decent lifestyle and a stable career while facing the alluring temptations of alcohol. Kileo is a compelling film produced in collaboration with Purple Cow Productions and Himiza Narratives. The story is driven by intricate storytelling that captures the intense emotional spectrum of a teacher battling alcoholism.

The Visual Craft: Color Grading the Emotional Spectrum
Our team was responsible for the full Color Grading of the film. The goal was to translate the protagonist's internal journey into a visual experience. We aimed to contrast the vibrant and energetic atmosphere of a night out with the harsh, draining reality of the aftermath.
To achieve this, the visuals fluctuate between:
Vibrant and Saturated Palettes: Reflecting the temporary escape and allure of the nightlife.
Muted and Desaturated Scenes: Capturing the struggle and the weight of the morning after.
Deep and Dark Shadows: Emphasizing the isolation and the internal conflict of the main character.
A Technical Rollercoaster
Working on Kileo was a true rollercoaster from a storytelling perspective and a massive undertaking in terms of the color spectrum. By meticulously crafting the grade, we ensured that the visuals mirrored the highs and lows of the narrative, providing a cinematic experience that is as emotionally resonant as it is visually striking.
